Seems simple enough, have a website if you want to marketing on line. Many small businesses, many writers, bands, and musicians have abandoned their website and focused online marketing efforts in Social Networks. Social Network Marketing requires more than just a Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and YouTube profile. You must have a self-hosted website under a unique domain name. That should be your main focus and all other marketing works around that core website. This video continues the series focused on affordable web marketing strategies build around Web Content Management Systems, otherwise known as WCMS. WCMS platforms offer web site alternatives that can be affordable, easy to update and relevant. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Mambo, B2Evolution, and Typo are examples of web content management systems. I’m a young black professional female, I currently live in Virginia. I recently got offered a postion as a Kinesiotherapist at a federal government hospital(Veterans Affairs Med Cntr) near UCLA.
As my moving date approaches (next month), I’m preparing myself for the transition from the east coast to the west coast. I’ve been looking into of course where to stay. I haven’t really been successfully quite yet in my search. Looking to rent a 1br, at least {content} – 00. Of course in a nice location close to work, with local food markets, banks, resturant nearby, ie (if possible).
Any suggestion on where to buy a car as well. Is a salary between ,000 – ,000, mangable? All I keep on hearing is how much the cost of living is high, but there is still so many people in LA.
I don’t know much at all about the area. Your assistances will mean so much to me. I look forward in hearing back from who ever it is. Thank you!!!

I"ve been chillin here in DC, wating on a contract to start. It ain’t starting. My specialty (human behavior and motivation as it applies to security issues/terrorism) is not popular right now. People in DC want number crunchers, graph plotters, database diggers. Not to mention genital grabbers/x-ray porn machiners. Not social scientists that actually think about humans.
So now I’m planning on moving to NYC (where I grew up) to be closer to family and in a more diverse job market.
I’m starting the NYC job search from here, though it doesn’t make much difference (since I’m living off savings and unemployment – but I figure moving will be less stressful if I’m employed). So my lease is month to month (thank goodness) and I can take a few months while still in DC to look for a job in NYC and then move if/when I get a bite.
My BA is in psych.
I’ve got a MA in counseling – and I’m getting my professional license transferred to NY
(a 2 month, 400$ process that will hopefully be sucessful). I ran a private practice (mainly mediation and anger management for the courts) and I have experience (as an intern) in a hospital setting/ER doing mental health intake and assessments.
I also have a PhD in Public Administration combined with both course work and research in political science/international policy (which was why I first moved to DC after grad school). I did qualitative field research in counter-terrorism, counterradicalism and counter-insurgency.
In addition I have experience teaching communications on the college level (hired b/c of my counseling background and a BA in Psych). Taught in a rough urban environment, liked it alot.
So – what’s the job scene like nowadays in NY? Any ideas based on the above? I’m terrified that I"m going to have as rough a time as I’ve been having for the past 16 months in DC – and DC is supposed to be better than the rest of the country, not worse….
